Happy Fall to All!

Happy Fall to All!

DecorativeFall is certainly here and its beauty has awakened our spirits. The beautiful colors, crisp air, and time change have led us into the holiday season. It truly is nature’s way of playing trick or treat on us; yet, it gives way to preparing us for all the fun end-of-year festivities we all love and enjoy. Traditional festivities will look different this year, considering we will be celebrating in the shadows of the coronavirus pandemic.

NREP kicked off its holiday season with a Halloween classroom door-decorating contest and preschool costume parade. Students, teachers and administrators dressed up and stood in the hallways (socially distanced, of course) to wave to the costumed preschool characters who paraded through the school. In light of celebrating in a non-traditional way, the parade was a real treat and brought the spirit of Halloween to life. Thanks to the PTO for delivering pre-packed individual goody bags to each classroom prior to the parade.

And now, drumroll please…Congratulations to Bo Wrenn for taking first place (left) in the door-decorating contest; runner up (right) was Janelle McClain's classroom. Thanks to all who participated; it really was a tough decision for the judges, as all doors were creatively decorated. Great job, everyone!
