Coronavirus Update Please Report COVID-19 Cases
Please report all positive cases of COVID-19 involving a student to the school nurse as soon as the case is confirmed. By quickly reporting cases to the school nurse, the required contact tracing can be completed in order to keep all members of the school community healthy and safe. Anyone exhibiting signs of illness, regardless of whether or not they have tested positive for COVID-19, is to stay home. Thank you.

School Board Extends Dr. Sovine's Contract Through June 2025

During its meeting on June 15, the Frederick County School Board extended the contract of Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Sovine through June 30, 2025. Dr. Sovine became the Superintendent of Frederick County Public Schools on July 1, 2011.

Summer Meals Program

Frederick County Public Schools is offering a free meals program to school-aged children each Wednesday throughout the summer. From June 16 through August 18, school-aged children can receive a free meal box between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each Wednesday at Apple Pie Ridge Elementary School, Redbud Run Elementary School or Sherando High School.
